OUR STORY
Clara and Janelle are two friends who built Batchig together, with Armenian and Kazakh roots threaded quietly through everything they do.
They come from fashion, where an object earns its place through line, feel, and presence, and Batchig is their way of bringing that eye and that rigor into perfume as something you carry, touch, and return to.
Florence is where it clicked: craft everywhere you look, and the sense that beauty and scent can be practical. It’s where they began obsessing over perfume as an everyday, intimate gesture.
That’s how Batchig became a gesture before it became a product: Pick. Warm. Kiss. and a name, meaning “kiss” in Armenian, chosen for its closeness to the skin.
2023 – Trip to Florence: first conversations about solid perfume as a beautiful object you can carry
2025 – Research and development: first prototypes and product testing
2026 – Launch in Paris: Batchig is born
